  1. The most courageous person I can think of right now is my friend’s 16 year old daughter. She has been passing out and having many problems since summer and doctors can’t find out why. She has had to drop out of school for the time being but still keeps strong in her faith.

  2. The most courageous person that I have known was our daughter, Tammy, who had a brain tumor at the age of 39. She went through the gamma knife treatment, chemotherapy and radiation for four years. She never complained or said,” Why me”? Her spirit was always upbeat, and she never gave up. She passed almost eight years ago, leaving a daughter who was ten years old.

  3. The most courageous person I know is my husband’s best friend’s little girl, Stella. She was diagnosed with leukemia last year at the age of 6. She is such a tough, brave little girl. She is now in remission, but has at least one more year of chemo. Her little life has been turned upside down, but she recently received Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized about 2 weeks ago. She is a blessing to everyone who knows her!

  4. One of the best date nights my husband and I had was this movie. Can’t wait to share it w others!

  5. The most courageous person I know is the senior pastor of our church. In his lifetime, he has undergone various trials and circumstances that may make the ordinary person run and hide, however he continues to stand strong in his faith and preaches the Word encouraging others to do so.

  6. The most courageous person I know is my grandmother, just through things she has gone through and how she has lived her life.

    • I think you are pretty courageous too :)

  7. My dad, Tony Brown, is the true example of a “Courageous” Christian husband and father. He lives what he teaches. He has always worked multiple jobs to support his family. He is a Deacon in the church, Sunday School teacher and has been a worship music leader. At almost 72 years old, he still rides bikes with his only grandson. He never meets a stranger and always has a smile. Your day is always better by just talking with him.

  8. The most courageous person I know is our son Staff Sgt. Jon R. Walker. He has given almost 20 years to protect the freedoms we enjoy each and every day. We take these freedoms for granted so often, but our service men and women do not. He has fought and saved his fellow soldiers lives putting himself in harm’s way many, many times. He has won many medals for his bravery including bronze stars with Valor and recently the Silver Star for extraordinary bravery in protecting other soldiers. He was injured in an IED attack over a year ago and has undergone surgery to repair a serious back injury and will be undergoing another back surgery soon. As proud parents, my husband and I are not only proud of his service to our country, but for all those men and women who have given so much to protect the citizens of this country with some giving the ultimate sacrifice. My son is my personal most courageous person, but he only represents so many other brave young men and women. Thank our military men and women along with all our veterans for their service to our country! They deserve our admiration as they are our true heroes and courageous in their service.

  9. The most courageous person I know is my cousin Tammy. She was diagnosed with a kidney failure and a clotting disorder. She has to do dialysis every day and she frequently battles infections and is in and out of the hospital. Despite all that she goes through she always has a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She knows the Lord will heal her in His time – either here on Earth or in Heaven. When I visit her I try to encourage her but I always leave feeling like I am the one that has been encouraged – by her kindness, her trust and her courage to face her situation with hope and peace and complete trust in the Lord’s plan for her life.
Deuteronomy 31:6, 8, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (NIV)

  10. I work for a ministry in Boone NC, and the students here have movie night twice a week there are 34 men that are struggling from addiction that really need to see a film such as this I saw it and I was really moved .

  11. My husband is the most courageous person I know. He leads our family with strength and honor and by following Christ. I am very thankful for him.

  12. Do we think it was easy for Jesus? The Prince of the universe left all and became a man, the humblest of men. The constant temptation was for Him to use the power He had before, in heaven, to save Himself from the trials.
Even in Gethsemane the separation from His Father began as the sins of the world were placed on His shoulders. His agony was so great that He sweat great drops of blood, His friends couldn’t even stay awake and pray. They all ran and denied even knowing Him. He tread the winepress ALONE. He died of a heart of love, broken. He cried out to His Father, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME? That is true courage and supreme love!

  13. The most courageous person I know is my father. He has led our family on our Christian walk without ceasing, despite obstacles and resistance. He has always kept his eye on Jesus and never left walking with Him, even with walking with Him could have seemed easier. I love him and thank him for being a corageous man. Now his legacy will continue for generations to come!

  14. One of the most courageous men I have ever known was my father Paul T Jones Sr. My dad was one of the sweetest, friendliest, people you would ever meet. But most of all my dad was a strong christian man who was an excellent example of what a FATHER should be to his children. He was a good christian example to any friend my brother and I brought home. I wasn’t allowed to date unless we dated at church first. His prayer was that my brother and I would fine a christian mate just like he found with my mom. We both did. My dad went home to meet his Heavenly Father 4 years ago who he had served for so many years. Thru my dads examples now both my brother and I are trying to be the courageous examples he was.

    • Amen! Paul was a blessing to everyone who knew him!

  15. The most couregous person I know has to be my mother. She was born into a very large family and when her mother passed away when my mom was 14, she cared for her younger brothers and sisters until she married my father. When i was four, my father passed away leaving my mother to care for 4 children. She never remarried and had the task of raising us and providing for us on a factory worker salary. She’s worked at the same job now almost 50 years. She’s not only dedicated at her work but she’d do anything in the world for anyone. I know i’m biased, but she has done an amazing job in raising her children. She’s by far the most couregous person i know. I’m so thankful for her!

  16. My husband and I had a date night and saw this movie, and loved it. We have been anxiously awaiting the dvd so we can share it with others!

    • My first date with my long-distance boyfriend was to see this movie!! We will be getting engaged very soon!

  17. Most people would say that my dad is extremely courageous. As a decorated retired Marine officer who had several tours in Vietnam, my dad was a nail-spitting, hard-core independent man that did not need God or anyone. . . until the most courageous person I know, my feather-weight Mom told my Dad that he needed Jesus Christ. Fearful and afraid of my Dad, my mom wanted my Dad to know the transforming power of Christ that she had experienced just a few years before. She meekly stood for her Saviour and gently presented Him to my father through her life and testimony. Finally, after being a senior debriefor for the POW’s that returned from Vietnam, my dad hit bottom. He was broken by what he saw and by the realization of what he had in a Christian wife. After days of intense praying, my mom told my dad once again, “I know you don’t want to hear this. . . but you need to be saved. You need the Lord Jesus Christ.” My Dad’s response was, “I know.” He knelt at our kitchen table and accepted Christ as his Saviour. Transformation started immediately. Today, my dad preaches the Gospel around this country; scores of people have been saved, lives have been renewed, and pastors have been encouraged. The most courageous person: my Mom who stood up to my dad and told him his need for a Saviour. Praise God! (Check out my Dad’s website at http://www.sharperswordministries.org)

    • Amen ,may God bless your dad’s ministry

  18. The most courageous person that I know is my husband. You see this movie hits close to home. My husband has worked in law enforcement for over 15 years, he has been a volunteer fire fighters for over 25 years and the chief of the department for over 20 of those years. He has spent many hours away from home not only during “normal” working hours but the many hours of training it takes to keep current each year. Stressful situations are normal to him. It is hard for people who work in these situations to keep a Godly focus, especially when you are working with people who stray so far from God. It’s hard for them to leave work and switch gears from lawlessness to be grounded in the here and now. It’s hard working on someone who is dead and having family members crying beside you. He has worked so hard to right many wrongs and grieved for those that he couldn’t help. Although I know he is not perfect, he is very much is the most courageous person I know.

  19. The most courageous person in my life is my daughter. She was diagnosed with cancer at age 11. She is now in remission, for almost 6 years. She is also expecting her first baby.

  20. The most courageous person I know is Jesus Christ! What courage is took to accept the sins of mankind upon himself and be willing to die that WE MIGHT LIVE ETERNALLY. Therefore, now we as HIS followers can live in courage because HE lives in us.

  21. Our family, including four teenagers, saw this movie with a group of friends and was truly blessed. What a great example of fathers for a teen sons. Would love to have a copy to show on movie nights with there friends.

  22. The most courageous person I know is my mother. I saw an amazing strong women when she went through a abusive and adulterous marriage. She is disabled but living on her own and not letting the weight of what happen get her down. Her courage and the love of her family helped her survive. I can only wish I was as courageous as her. Can’t wait for her to see this movie!

  23. I think of my Father. For years his battle was with cancer. He was told it would not be long. My father was courageous to fight it. Every year, starting when he turned 65, we gave him a birthday party with ‘all’ his family and friends. We did not know if he would see his next birthday. He amazed his Doctors and when my husband passed away, my Daddy was there to give me that strong shoulder to lean on. He always said, he would go when God said for him to go. He had his last birthday party in 2001 at the age of 76!

  24. I would love to have this DVD to watch with my honey. We both love these types of films and they just warm your heart.

  25. The most courageous person I know is my mom…she is by far the most risk taking person I know who puts herself out there to show her love for me and also to each person she meets. She does not expect anything in return and in our day and age that is truly a sacrifice. My mom simply loves because she is loved by the Father and passes that around like none other.

  26. The most courageous person that I know would be my father. Just like in this movie, my father is still in my life even though I am an adult. These past two years we were in a church where the congregation was not willing to make changes and ended up hating my Dad, who was the Pastor. Even with all of the hateful comments and people, he stayed true to the one person who matters: Jesus Christ. My Dad followed God’s plan for that church and his life. If I go into ministry, I would like to be a minister like my own father:loving, caring, strong-willed, but most important Christ-centered. I believe that makes a courageous person, because without Christ there’s no way we could make it.

  27. The most courageous person I know is Suzi that I work with. She has been battling cancer for 5 years and I’ve never seen anyone so strong. She comes to work when I know she feels terrible. Her strength and faith in God are such a blessing every day. She is such a light to me and everyone she meets. She has the best attitude and I just love her. I’m so thankful to God for such a precious friend.

  28. The most courageous person I know is my dad. Not only is he my dad, but he is also my associate pastor. What makes him courageous is his unwavering determination and decision to continue trusting the Lord through the various trials he has experienced! Another attribute that makes him a courageous man is the stand he takes for God’s Word, not only within the walls of the church, but in everyday life with his family! The standards he has set for his family, and for his daughter (me), in particular, have not always been the easiest road for us to follow, but it was the right road. And that is exactly what courageous means to me: a person choosing one path over the other because it is right and honorable to God’s Word!

  29. Would love to see the movie.

  30. Haven’t seen it yet but I hear it is a great movie. Love your store.

  31. I would love to win this!!

  32. I have a very good friend that is a jail and prison minister. She also runs a halfway house for ladies. She lives by faith alone. She has many health problems but does not let this stop her from doing what God has called her to do.. I would like to win this package and give it to her for her halfway house. I know all the ladies would enjoy it.

  33. The most courageous person I know has to be my sister. She was diagnosed with brain cancer last March. They took out a tennis ball size tumor from the right frontal lobe of her brain. She was “told” she would survive around 15 months if she takes all of the treatments. It’s been 10 months. We’ve given her the best birthday, Christmas, New Year’s and Thanksgiving that we could. Most people in her shoes dreads every day because they are one day closer, but from day one, she hasn’t gotten her hopes and dreams dashed or been negative in any way or form. She holds her head up facing death knowing that God can change it if it’s his will. If’ it’s not then she’s ready to go home with him. I only wish I was that strong! She always will be my sister and the bravest person I know.

  34. The most courageous person I know is my husband. He grew up in the former Soviet Union, became a Christian at 15 began preaching at 16. We met when he was 22 and working as a translator for the mission team I was serving with in the Ukraine. He dreamed to get his MBA in the USA. In Aug 2002 he was admitted to school in Ohio, and granted a visa to enter the country. However, he did not have any money for a plane ticket or for school and loans were not available for him. All he had was faith in God, if He wanted him to come to the USA he would provide it all. God gave the money for his one-way plane ticket which he bought, still he had no place to live, no money for tuition or food. The day before he was to board the plane, someone called to let him know he had a free place to stay and free food to eat while he studied. He came to the USA with two small bags of books and a couple shirts and pants. With in a few days of being here, he had a closet full of clothes, a car (given to him) and a job on campus. In 2004 he graduated magnum cum laude with an MBA and no debt. In 2005 we were married. We now have two boys and he is a magnificent daddy! He is a terrific husband and a man the loves the Lord. He is very courageous in all that he does as His faith in God guides his steps. I am one blessed lady who is extremely thankful for all God does for us.

  35. My father-in-law was one of the most courageous men I know. I saw him depend on God for spiritual victories. I saw him praise God for deliverance from cancer after surgery for kidney cancer. I saw him depend on God as he was diagnosed with lung cancer. His trust in God as he succumbed to poor health, poor breathing, tiredness, etc. was such an example of courageousness. He committed his life and health to the wisdom of the Lord. He was buried on Christmas Eve and his courageous life was celebrated by family, church members, and friends. Praise God for faithful, courageous men.

  36. The most courageous person I know is my dad. Last year he found out he had stage 4 melanoma that had grown and moved to his lungs, lymp nodes, and other parts of his body. He had to take many experiemental drugs to try and slow down the cancer. At the same time, he had to have 3 surgerys to remove veins in his leg due to clogged ones, and had to have artificle ones put in. Throughout everything he indured, he still was faithful and true to God…always looking toward him and putting him first in his life. This year, God healed him. At the last scan, they couldnt find any cancer. God has used him in so many ways to be a witness to those who do not know him as their Lord and Savior. Sometime we have to go thru trials in life, but God is always faithful and just.

  37. My husband is the most courageous person I know. He served in the United States Navy and did 2 tours of Viet Nam. He experienced many horrible things during his time in the service, but with God’s help he is working through them. He is a wonderful husband and father who loves the Lord. I am grateful for his service to God and our country.

  38. The most courageous person I know is my 6 yr old nephew Hunter. He was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma on Nov.18, 2011 and had his first chemo treatment on Thanksgiving day. He will have a treatment a week for 6 months and a treatment a month for 2.5 yrs. He has been such a trooper through all of this. “Make a Wish” asked him what he would most like to do and he replied; “swim in a pool of melted marshmallows”. I think that is great! Needless to say they asked him to make another wish. Hunter was blessed to be in remission and cancer free after 5 1/2 weeks of treatments but will still have to continue his full course of treatments. God is good!

  39. Looking forward to seeing this movie with my wonderful husband and our best friends. We love Fireproof and it touches me every time that I watch it!

  40. The most Courageous person I have ever known would be my Grandfather. He was drafted into the military at the age of 20 and served in the Korean War and Vietnam. He retired from the military after 24 years of service. He always said it was harder to leave his family during War times than it was to actually be in the middle of the War. After retiring from the Army he worked close to home taking care of our entire family….. making up for lost time he said. Everyday as a child I would walk with my Grandfather to feed the barn cats and he would hold my hand and tell me stories. The day he died I held his hand as he walked into Heaven. My Grandfather held our family together and even in this last year after he left us he is still leading us because he was Courageous enough tocontinue the good fight even AFTER he returned home.

  41. The most courageous person I know would have to be my oldest brother Joshua. Josh has always followed what God wants him to do, and he believest that the Lord’s plan in his life is for him to become a doctor so that he can help other people. The road to get there is very tough for Josh, and he struggles a lot during undergraduate. However, Joshua never stopped trying and continued to rely on God and stay courageous. Josh is currently in Med School and is facing tough challenges, but he is staying full of courage. For his courage, Josh is such a big inspiration to me as I plan to follow in his footsteps to become a doctor as well.

  42. The most courageous person I know is my mom. Although she is fighting a brain tumor and has recently had pneumonia and shingles, she keeps on going and never loses her faith.

  43. The most courageous person that I know right now is my pastor’s wife. She has several health issues and at times can barely walk. Yet, she stands by her husbands side and helps him in the ministry. They are going thru a very trying time now. Their son was arrested and is now in jail. This lady, has never stopped serving God and continues to lean on Rom. 8:28. Even through all of this she is still there for her ladies. She is so good that we call her “Our First Lady.” She is a precious, precious Christian and is not ashamed to stand before the church and apologize if something goes wrong. She has more spiritual guts than anyone I know.

  44. The most courageouse person that I know are the folks in my family and in my congregation that have fought cancer. Some have battled cancer and won, and some have battled and lost. Cancer is a disease that has struck many persons both in my biological family and my church family, and each person has shown grace, perserverence and peace during each of their struggles. God has certainly blessed me with believing family members!

  45. Imagine being a child and witnessing your father being killed. Imagine being in your thirties and starting college with five young kids at home. Now, imagine after a year in college your husband dies leaving you with no income and five children to raise on your own. She has battled and won cancer three different times and has managed to raise five wonderfully, well-rounded children who are now grown up and have moved far away.

That is my friend Fern. She is the most amazing and courageous woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She not only finished her degree but went on and got her masters in speech pathology.

She is now 78 years old and long since retired. But, she is an avid volunteer and walks/runs 3 miles every day. She was recently chosen as the Hospice Volunteer of the Quarter and manages to be very active at her Church.

She is truly an inspiration and she refuses to get what she calls “old”. I love her and her attitude! I hope this store inspires someone else.

  46. The most courageous person I know is my best friend Vanessa. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor several years ago and it has been a battle for her. She just recently found out on top of that she is diabetic and has been trying to grasp that. She has always been strong no matter what circumstance comes her way. She is a very Godly woman and uses the internet and her website she created to witness to people all over the world and tell them about Jesus. No matter what comes her way she is trusting the Lord to give her strength to go on. She is always starting prayer chains for others and I would like to start one for her. Please pray for her as she faces lifes battles. I know if I was in her shoes I would give up but she is very courageous. I love her with all my heart.

  47. I know many courageous people but the most courageous person I know is my sister, Tink (Ashley). My sister went through a divorce about 19 years ago. Her husband left her when her son was about 2 years old. I watched her during those times become a strong young woman of God. When most would have thought of themselves and acted crazy she drew near to the Lord. She tried so hard to make things easy for her son, Zach. She went over and beyond, inviting his Dad to Birthday parties and even some of our family gatherings. Both of them are remarried and the Lord sent my sister a wonderful husband. They both truly seek what the Lord wants for their lives. About 4 years ago, Zach decided to move in with his Dad. He was 16. She begged his Dad to discourage this move but he would not. Zack moved out and my sister and brother-n-law took the most courageous stand. You see, Zach chose to live a life separate from God, and my sister and her husband(who has been like a father to Zach), took a firm stand not to support him in his rebellion. For 4 years they have prayed, prayed, prayed-sent Zack a devotional every day and text messages that said “I love you and I am praying for you. Most of the time Zack did not respond and my sister and her husband would not know if we was okay or not. Of course a lot of things has transpired over these 4 years and my sister and her husband have been so strong and showed forth such a tremendous amount of faith. About 3 months ago, Zach begin to call and make visits. He is beginning to allow his Mom and Step-Dad back in to his life. You see what happens when you are “courageous” and allow the Lord to be Lord -through their obedience God is blessing!

Please pray for Zach. God has great things for him.

  48. Courageous people are who face any problems that come into their life and know only through faith and trust in God will see them through. We all go through the valleys and Mtns but only through our Lord and Savior.

  49. My Father in Law followed God’s leading and moved his family from South Florida to North Carolina to start a church. He had no idea what God had in mind for him and his family. But he obeyed the LORD, even though it was scary. Had it not been for his obedience I would have not have been introduced to my husband. Thank God for his courageous choice to follow God. He has been a wonderful father, pastor, and Godly example for me.

  50. THE MOST COURAGEOUS PERSON I KNEW WAS MY MOTHER. SHE FACED MANY PHYSICAL CHALLANGES. SHE AND MY DAD ALWAYS TAUGHT ME TO NEVER GIVE UP, THAT WITH GOD “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”……..SHE BECAME A DIALYSIS PATIENT FOR 9 YRS AND 3 MONTHS, AND FACED MANY STRUGGLES DURING HER TIME OF SICKNESS. SHE HAD TO GO TO DIALYSIS 3 DAYS A WEEK, BUT SHE ALSO HAD CHROMES DISEASE (AND HAD A COLOSTOMY AS WELL). SO IN SHORT, HER FEELING AS A WOMEN(WIFE) FELT IMCOMPLETE. BUT WITH GOD SHE OVERCAME MANY OBSTABLES. ONE TIME SHE FELL, FROM BEING WEAK FROM DIALYSIS AND BROKE HER LEG. SHE HAD TO HAVE A CAST ALL THE WAY UP TO HER THIGH. PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND THE DIFFICULTY SHE AND MY DAD HAD. SHE HAD TO STILL GO TO THE DIALYSIS CENTER 3 DAYS A WEEK AND WITH A FULL LEG CAST ON. THE DAILY CHALLANGES WERE TOUGH, BUT THEY GOT THRU IT WITH GOD. THEY KNEW THAT THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT GOD HELPING THEM EACH STEP OF THE WAY. MY MOM HAS PASSED NOW, AND SHE IS IN HEAVEN. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HER AGAIN. SHE TAUGHT ME SO MUCH THAT YOU DON’T GIVE UP, RELY ON GOD WITH EVERYTHING.

  51. My mother is the most courageous person I know. She is wonderful, & always tries hard to make everyone happy.

  52. The most courageous person I know is my husband. From March 2009 through March 2010, he watched his dad, his mom, and my sister go to be with our Savior. With his dad being sick, my sister was dying at home with us at the same time. He worked everyday during this time, while driving up and down the mountain to Hickory to be with his dad. He has unshakable faith due to his mother and father’s teachings. I will never forget the day when his dad went home on March 7, 2009. He came home and told my sister that his dad told him to tell her that he would be saving a golden seat for her in Heaven. My sister left us 10 days later. I know that what he told my sister helped her not to be so afraid of leaving me. His mother left us in March of 2010. We still grieve the losses we have suffered, however he is able to go to work and was blessed with a new job, that he had to learn while grieving in the process. It has been very hard on both of us, but we depend on God to get us through the saddest days. He is a Marine, a wonderful provider, and a God loving man. I know everyone has a couragous person they love and admire, but God blessed me with one of the best.

  53. My mother was the most courageous person I know. She was a single parent fighting a rare disease but never let us kids know that she was frightened. She prayed to live until we were grown. I was the youngest. Momma died right after I turned 19.

  54. The most courageous person I know is my husband. Many trials in his life but there are two that exemplified how courageous he was. Living through being in the mist of the Vietnam Battle of la Drang Valley (called the valley of death) and never talking about this till two years before his death when he showed his family slides of him there. Going through an eight year battle of cancer treatments and living each day to the fullest when he could hardly
put one foot in front of the other and never complaining, even even in death.

  55. I guess the most courageous person I know would be the sweetest lady ever and her name is Jean Canter she has always been my favorite Person her music the songs she wrote were the most prettiest ever her loving arms always has a smile on her face loves The Lord with all her heart she is the most amazing woman ever she has always been a big part in my life .. Jean Canter I love you so very much!!!!
Another person the is the most Courageous person in my life is God he is always there he is always on time he never fails he is there through it all even in the darkest night of all he there shining a light through he led me to the most wonderful Church ever and that is Refuge Baptist Church In Blowing Rock I am so Blessed that he has showed me a church to go to and with the most amazing people ever and Don and Carrie White I know they are most Courageous people in my life to because they are always there and they know just what to say but most of all I am Glad that Jesus died for my sin and i am glad i serve a reason savior who is the all time Courageous one in my heart and life and who gave me the sweetest kids ever and a loving husband!!!

  56. The most courageous person I know is my pastor, James Beaver. He is 86 years old and still preaching! He takes care of his wife, who is battling Alzheimer’s and does it all with such grace. He is the most humble person I know!

  57. Our uncle.

  58. One of the most courageous people I know is a man in our church who has mentored and met with my husband for the past almost 6 years to have Bible study with him once a week before they both head to work. They meet at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, fellowship, and Bible study. This man has been instrumental in guiding my husband in his Christian daily walk. He is a humble man who loves God’s word and is eager to share his wisdom with others. We are both grateful for his influence on our lives.
